I Stand at the Door and Knock by Corrie ten Boom
Most of us know Corrie ten Boom. Child of God, survivor of a Nazi concentration camp, and a witness to the power of God’s healing to forgive. I have read The Hiding Place and watched the movie. If you haven’t read or seen that great story – put it on the top of your list. While The Hiding Place was powerful and profound, this book, I Stand at the Door and Knock, was just as profound but gently touched my spirit with its simplicity and relevancy. Chapters are brief. I read 1-3 chapters every night before I slept. The words washed away the ‘dirt of the day’ and left me with hope and peace. This will be in the top 5 books that I read this year. It’s on my amazon.com Wish List. (Hint, hint)
