“I Don’t Know”
My husband, Henry, is doing a Bible study online every Thursday night on John’s Gospel. This week really spoke to my spirit.
The Scripture reference is John 3:1-21. The verses that I am still mulling over are 18-21. Light has come into the world. If I feel I am stumbling around, uncertain of where I am going and what I am to be about – then I need to stop and admit, “I don’t know!” What is it about me that is reluctant to admit my ignorance? Pride? Oh yes, absolutely! I do not like to feel foolish and unknowing. My hands stay on the wheel of my life, firmly and rightly at the 10 and 2 position because I am in the driver’s seat! Have you ever seen the bumper sticker “God is my co-pilot”? Well, I need to move over, baby, and let the One who really does know everything take the wheel!
Jesus came as a pure bright light into my life because of God’s great love and my great need. How about you? Got questions? Jesus has answers.
